Workshop Description

There are so many social media platforms that it can be overwhelming where to start and how to begin to create content and awareness with online networks. In this hands on workshop Tenelle will share best practices to build multiplatform campaigns for your program and to connect with followers and supporters through social media. She will share free resources for developing images and memes formatted for Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook. Tenelle will show you how to turn program data into easy to share infographics and charts that allow others to quickly understand your impact and work. She also will discuss strategies to connect to your audience with Google+ Hangouts, Periscope, YouTube and blogs and how to use your partners, volunteers and staff to build your social media activity. You don’t have to be a tech guru or even have any experience to leave this workshop empowered to use social media for your program. All you need is a laptop, an internet connection and a willingness to learn and try, in this interactive session.
